We acquire lower-middle-market companies and give the operators already running them a real stake in the outcome.
Approach
Sky Capital buys lower-middle-market companies from owners planning their succession. In many of these businesses the successor is already on the payroll — a general manager or operations lead who has run the company for years without owning any of it.
We structure each acquisition so that an equity stake vests to that operator over time. They run the company and own a real piece of it, while we remain the majority owner. We hold that position indefinitely; there is no exit we are working toward.

Criteria
We look at businesses with $10–50 million in revenue and $2–10 million of EBITDA, anywhere in the United States. We are generalists and do not restrict ourselves by sector. We will consider situations outside these ranges where the fit is obvious.
